Client review workflow

How to Collect Client Feedback on a Website

The easiest feedback to act on is specific. Ask clients to review the actual website, point to the part they mean, and explain the change they want. Then keep each decision with its original request.

01

Start with a focused review

Share the pages that need a decision and explain what kind of feedback you need: content, layout, images, or behavior. A focused request is easier for a client to answer than “What do you think of the whole site?”

02

Ask for one change per comment

Have the client pin each comment to the relevant page element. A note such as “Use the approved headline here” is easier to assign and complete than an email containing several unrelated changes.

03

Reply and track the decision

Keep questions and replies with the feedback. Set an owner and status for each request, then invite the client to review the updated page when it is ready. This gives both sides a visible path from comment to resolution.

Turn a vague email into an actionable request

“The pricing page needs work” leaves too much open. Pin the pricing section and ask “Please change the plan description in this card to the approved copy.” The team now has a location and a concrete change to make.
